All In On Everton & Chelsea

Starting Bankroll $5.00, Current Bankroll $3.50

What looked like a great multi was destroyed by Nagoya's surprising inability to score earlier today in their 0-0 draw with newly promoted Yamagata. They did after all score 6 goals in their last 2 games including 3 in their big Asian Champions League away win over Korea's Ulsan Hyundai midweek.

At this rate the J League is going to send me broke, so back to the EPL where I've enjoyed a lot more success particularly with Everton and Chelsea. Tonight I am sticking with both of these teams as they are well managed, high on confidence and at home to two teams that are in poor league form. This double should get me out of jail.

Everton at home to beat Stoke @ 1.48

Chelsea at home to beat Man City @ 1.45

The Backup Plan

Starting Bankroll $5.00 Current Bankroll $8.50

First of all I would like to apologise for not following up with my betting preview as promised. My connection went down while I was putting it together. Now, I expected Liverpool to keep Madrid to 0, but no way in the world could I ever predict a 4-0 result! Real Madrid's horrible performance ruined what looked like a sold multi

Well not to worry, I'm going to re-invest on Man United and Barca and also add Arsenal in to the equation because the 2.15 Centrebet are offering for them to win with the insurance of getting your money back in the event of a draw is screaming at me!

Arsenal have their confidence back and that means trouble for a depleted Roma squad who will struggle to put their most important player in Totti on the park tonight. In the mean time, Arsenal have recently welcomed the return or Eduardo and tonight Walcott will also make a come back. After a horrible run that saw Arsenal fail to find the back of the net for several weeks, they have now scored 6 goals in their last 2 matches albeit against lower opposition than Roma. However, the most important thing is that the players are confident and feeling good. You can never under estimate confidence. Add this to the fact that Arsenal have a sublime record in Italy and that Roma are struggling. This leg represents great value!

Barcelona will be far too strong for Lyon. Messi and co will not be defending their away goals lead and are well aware that if Lyon score, the tie is wide open. In any case, I am confident that Barca will out score their opponents at the Nou Camp.

Man U look unstoppable at the moment. They showed in Milan how they are far superior to Inter and I cannot remember Man U ever choking at Old Trafford. If you are any sort of football fan you will agree!

So I'm on...

Man U to beat Inter 1.70
Barca to Beat Lyon 1.38
Arsenal to beat Roma (Draw no bet) 2.15

$3 @ 5.04 Potential Return = $15.12

I suggest you get on too!

Everton To Continue Their Brilliant Form

After Chelsea having provided a long awaited easy collect, I am going to re-invest on Everton tonight to get the job done at home over Boro in the FA Cup Quarter Final. I don't feel Boro who would have to be low on confidence after conceding 4 goals against a mediocre Spurs side can match a fired up Everton at home who despite their injury problems just keep on winning.. With a current bankroll of $13.50, $5.00 goes on Everton @ 1.70 for a return of $8.50. (Centrebet)

Time to get back to Basics

It seems like the big teams in Japan with the exception of last year's J League champions Kashima Antlers and Asian champions Gamba Osaka need to take a big hard look at them selves. New signing Davi came through with a brace for Nagoya. If there was a market open for J League top scorer, I would love to know his odds for the golden boot this season.

Well, it's time to keep it simple after a couple of losses in a row. The remaining bankroll of $9 goes on Chelsea to beat Coventry in tonight's FA Cup Quarter final. Why? Because no team managed by Guus Hiddink would fail to beat Conventry, that's why. Centrebet are giving me 1.50. Now let me think, If these sides met 10 times...How many times do you think Chelsea would win? Now ask yourself..is 1.50 not good value or what!

$9 Chelsea to beat Coventry @ 1.50 (Centrebet)

J League Round 1 - Plenty of Value

It's been a long time between drinks but I'm back! The J league always offers punters great value for money, probably due to the bookies lack of knowledge regarding the league. It isn't broadcasted in many countries outside of Japan and it is pretty difficult to get any information on the form of the teams in English. I love the J league and watched the 2nd half of last season with great interest. With some help from my friends at japanesesoccer.net regarding transfer news, I've managed to come up with another mad multi...

I'm usually against taking more than 3 legs in a multi but I just couldn't rub any of these pics out. We're still left with a $16 bank roll so I'm going to invest $7 of it on the following 4 legs:

FC Tokyo @ 1.72 to beat Albirex Niigata

FC Tokyo are looking to build on their best ever season last year and have managed to keep basically the same squad together minus the disappointing Emerson who will not be missed, while Niigata will be a serious contender for relegation this season.

Nagoya Grampus @ 1.95 to beat Oita Trinta

Both teams were brilliant last season, however Oita are no attacking threat and always rely heavily on what appears to be an over worked defence. I feel they will struggle to put together such an admirable performance two season in a row. Their failure to sign an attacking threat will hurt them in this game and for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Nagoya Grampus starts 2009 with huge hopes and ambitions. After an excellent past season, when the team finished second and qualified for the Asian Champions League, Grampus has beefed up its roster with one of the best picks of the winter transfer market: Brazilian Davi, who managed to score 16 goals by playing in the weakest team of the league.

Kashima Antlers to draw with Urawa Reds @ 3.30

This game sees the two modern day powerhouses of Japanese football coming together for the opening round. Antlers are looking to make it three championships in a row while the 2007 ACL winners, Urawa Reds have a star studded lineup and will be under a lot of pressure not to lose the opening match. Their fans were not satisfied with their mediocre performance last season and as a result I expect this to be a very cagey affair.

Kawasaki Frontale @ 1.67 to beat Kashiwa Reysole

Kashiwa Reysole like Niigata will be happy to avoid relegation this season. However, Kawasaki Frontale were ever so close to winning the championship last season and many including myself feel that they could go one better this season if they don't get burnt out by the demanding trips they will need to make during their ACL campaign this season which includes a trip to Australia to visit the A-League wooden spooners Newcastle Jets.

Bet $7 @ 18.48 Return = $129.38 (Centrebet)
